Im Siwan and Lee Dong Wook had such great chemistry, it makes you kinda want to root for Moon Jo to win over Jong Woo. I am half terrified for Jong Woo and half “if you kiss this psychopath murderer, would it be so bad?” There’s a scene where Moon Jo pinches Jong Woo’s Adam’s apple and goes on this long, creepy monologue about Adam’s apples and I am ashamed to admit that I probably did not react to that scene like I should have. But also, he looks like this:Īnd the chemistry between Im Siwan and Lee Dong Wook is soooo wrong, but also so right. Lee Dong Wook’s character is a very bad man in this drama and not in the hot way. This is before I had my “Im Siwan is possibly hot” revelation, so he was not a thirst factor here. But your girl decided to check it out because, duh, Lee Dong Wook. How did we get here? Ok, like I said, this is a very dark and violent drama about MURDERERS. I won’t spoil too much of the ending, but Moon Jo and Jong Woo’s relationship ends with Moon Jo smiling up at Jong Woo while his throat is slit and cries out euphorically “you are my greatest masterpiece.” Oh yeah, it’s OCN so very gorey and violent. It also becomes obvious that Jong Woo has some serious anger issues and Moon Jo is so turned on anytime he gets violent. But at the same time, none of them are allowed to touch him because daddy Moon Jo said don’t touch my honey, he’s mine. As time goes on, it’s obvious that the residents at the apartment complex are just a bunch of murderers who are tormenting Jong Woo. Moments between Jong Woo and Moon Jo include a side by side shower where Moon Jo looks at Jong Woo a bit too long and tells him that of course Jong Woo has a girlfriend, because he’s so handsome. Among his creepy neighbors is Moon Jo played by Lee Dong Wook, a dentist (further creating a false narrative, along with Song Weilong in Go Ahead, that dentists can be that hot) who is really, really, really interested in Jong Woo and calls him honey (or babe if you’re going by Netflix’s translations). ![]() It’s gross and creepy but oh so cheap so Jong Woo who is light on cash has no choice but to stick it through. There, he rents a room from a cheap-ass/creepy/dirty apartment complex/boarding house that’s filled with…interesting characters. Strangers from Hell / Hell is Other Peopleīrief Summary: Im Siwan plays Jong Woo, a man who moves to Seoul to start an internship and be closer to his girlfriend.
